These Are the Artists Predicted to Make it Big Next Year
The numbers are in, and a handful of dance music artists and collaborators are predicted to strike it big in 2016. Spotify used its algorithm based on over 75 million users to deliver some pretty interesting forecasts of the artists that are going viral and expected to go from breakthrough artists to big-name artists.
No he's not an EDM artist per se but he was responsible for the hit song "Weight in Gold" that received a tidal wave of dance music remixes. Remember Louis Futon's remix? That was one of the most-liked and listened to remixes.
The 23-year-old alternative R&B singer from Columbia, MD also recently teamed up with Zhu for a track on his Genesis Series EP. Fun fact, he was actually discovered by Jake Udell, known for managing Krewella and Zhu.
Norwegian tropical house producer Tom Lagergren aka Matoma became a household name in the EDM world after his club remix of Biggie's "Want That Old Thing Back" in 2014. Now the producer has over a quarter of a billion streams. On November 16, the producer launched a unique campaign to release his debut album Hakuna Matoma.
"Hakuna Matoma is my living album that will continue growing as I grow with you guys. Many songs are finished, and also some of it will be written as I go, but I want my fans to come along with me on that journey because you are my inspiration and heart!" he told Music Week.

While she technically makes trip hop, experimental dream pop-type music, Kacy Hill is still an interesting artist to watch. Hill was previously working as a model, but after Kanye West signed her to G.O.O.D., the 20-year-old is preparing to release an EP.
