Music Video for Calvin Harris' "Pray to God" Features Sorcery and Forest Creatures
The new music video for "Pray to God," from Calvin Harris' album Motion, is now available and it's out there. The video stars the song's featured act, Haim, as sorcerers outfitted in all black singing against a background of shifting neon landscapes. Perhaps after hearing the similarities between Calvin Harris's production and the incessant opening guitar line of "Edge of Seventeen," the girls decided to channel the likeness of Stevie Nicks. It's possible Calvin's deep beats simply made the girls want to get weird. Whatever their reasoning, the video is a fun departure from the more down-to-earth production people have come to expect from Haim.
The collaboration with Calvin Harris wasn't Haim's first foray into EDM. Back in 2014, the legendary disco producer Cerrone remixed "If I Could Change Your Mind" and in doing so spiked the song with a heaping dose of funk. Check out the remix below.
