Nu-disco band Miami Horror has been on a 5-year hiatus, as they have yet to release anything since their debut album Illumination back in 2010. Now, the Australian electronica band has announced their follow-up studio album All Possible Futures, set to release on April 21st, 2015. To drum up anticipation for their brand new studio album, Miami Horror has also released the first official single from All Possible Futures titled “Love Like Mine.”
After the release of Illumination in 2010, Miami Horror has spent the last three years bouncing between Melbourne and Los Angeles. While writing All Possible Futures, they drew inspiration from both cities. Producer and DJ Ben Plant said, “We wanted to move to LA for inspiration and influence more than anything. It helped us to experiment and find our own sound. If you look at a lot of the alternative electronica and dance music coming out of LA it definitely has a feel – we love the weirdness and sunshine. It has been a strong influence on many of our favourite records from the 60s-80s and we wanted to allow it to influence this record.”
