Rumors Suggest Music Release Day Could Be Moved To Friday
Tuesdays are known as a big day for media releases, particularly hardcopy movies, video games and music releases. The United States has used Tuesday as the primary release day for years, but it seems as if the music industry may be switching to a more globally recognized day in the coming months. Fridays are considered the music release day in many countries, and new rumors point to a widespread switch to Friday in order to combat music piracy. Not all outlets are privy to the change, with retailers such as Target threatening to drop music from their stores if the day ends up changing.
