Staff Picks: 5 Favorite Songs Of The Week Vol. 17

This week’s staff picks includes a new remix from RL Grime and Salva, a track from Jack U’s new album, and a track that sounds like disco on speed. In addition to this, we’ve thrown in a sexy cover of “Stop This Train” and a catchy track from Spinnin' Records.

Skyfall (RL Grime & Salva Remix) - Travi$ Scott (Ft. Young Thug)

This free download gives a nice electro spin to Travi$ Scott and Young Thug’s original hip-hop banger. With the combination of RL Grime and Salva, this “Skyfall” remix just continues to highlight the talent of these trap lords.

Skrillex and Diplo - Jungle Bae (Feat. Bunji Garlin)

Off of Skrillex and Diplo’s debut “Jack U” album, this is one of many fantastic tracks from the project. Although it was hard to just select five of my favorite tracks off this album, ‘Jungle Bae’ was selected because of the way it truly celebrates the merging of both producers very distinct and different sounds.

Kryder & The Wulf - Good Vibes (Original Mix)

Spinnin’ Records released this Kryder & The Wulf single that is all kinds of bouncey. Combining old school vocals with a big room spin to the way they are sampled, “Good Vibes” is intense and also insanely catchy.

DJ Mastercard - Cryogenics Feat. 4J LTE

DJ Mastercard speeds up the pace for a “jukewave” type single taking us back to the disco-era while reminding us how fast feet can actually shuffle. Featuring 4J LTE, “Cryogenics” thaws out the discotheque vibe with a “Work” vocal sample that can be likened to your modern day hype man. This is definitely a song to sprint to.

oshi - stop this train

I’ll just let oshi speak for oshi:

"i forgot about this, eventually used these drums in masamune (not a loop)
original track: stop this train - marie dahlstrom"
