Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo Contributes Music For Mike Tyson Film
Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo, one half of ‘90s dance music pioneers Daft Punk, has reportedly written the score for a French action film called Gates of the Sun. The soon-to-be-released action movie, which was originally titled “Algérie Pour Toujours,” was written and directed by Jean Marc Minéo and costars boxing legend Mike Tyson.
The film score is credited to Le Knight Club, Homem-Christo’s side project with Eric Chedeville. The two founded the Crydamoure label in 1997. Chedeville composed the film’s theme music, and Homem-Christo provided the score for a scene taking place in a nightclub at the end of the film. A synopsis on the film’s IMDB page reads: “An Algerian secret agent has to destroy an undercover paramilitary organization that plans to strike against the country and its people.”
