The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced that Kaskade, Steve Aoki and A-Trak would headline Snake Pit, its annual party that coincides with the Indianapolis 500 races. Now in its fourth edition since its esteemed revival, the event stands as further proof of EDM's dominance of the modern party scene.

The original Snake Pit was an infield gathering which took place on grandstands built inside Turn 1 of the speedway on the day of the races. While the history of the party dates back to the '20s, its most storied era was the '70s - and it was eventually discontinued in the '90s. The contemporary re-imagining of the parties over the past few years relocated them to Turn 3 and set a precedent for a headline stacked with such dance music greats as Diplo, Hardwell and Afrojack.

Snake Pit will take place on May 24, the same day as the Indianapolis 500. Tickets for both events are available online at the remarkably low rate of $15 for Snake Pit General Admission and $40 for Indy 500 Race Day General Admission. They also have a limited number of VIP Serpent Lounge tickets for $60.
