Good News For Music Industry

After years of declining business, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has reported the fourth steady year in a row. While physical sales continue to taper off, other mediums are enjoying increased popularity.

Both streaming services and permanent downloads continue to gain greater influence over the market, with the streaming market making signicant progress.

Interestingly, vinyl records stand as an outlier to the death of physicial sales, continuing to grow slowly.

It's great to see the music industry recovering from its slump during the same period of time that electronic music hit mainstream in the US; it's a hopeful sign for the future.
