When he's not busy producing the hit songs behind the indie pop band The xxJamie xx produces beautiful house music and performs dynamic DJ sets. In the xx's off time, Jamie xx has released three powerful singles and hinted at a new album. After a few months of silence, it has been confirmed that Jamie xx's new album will release in June. Jamie xx has one album to his name thus far, which was the Gil-Scott-Heron remix album We're New Here. The new LP, titled In Colour, will feature Jamie's bandmate Romy Madley Croft and Four Tet. Song previews are available on the Jamie xx website and pop up a few minutes after the signal test.

Speaking of Four Tet, the fellow English producer will join Jamie xx for a b2b Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 on March 28. Hosted by Pete Tong, this episode of the Essential Mix is a part of the 2015 series of the radio program that pits an Essential Mix veteran with a newcomer to the show. The first entry of this series put Eric Prydz with his protege Jeremy Olander. The mix may very well include new tracks from Jamie's upcoming LP.
