5 Outdoor Venues That Every EDM Fan Must Visit

You have many options when it comes to where to dance: basement parties, warehouse raves, night clubs, massive festivals. However, when spring and summer roll around, there is no better feeling than being outside with your friends and vibing on the same beat. EDM.com has compiled a quick list of a few of our favorite outdoor venues that are a must for any dedicated EDM fan. In no way is this a comprehensive list, and they are not ranked in any particular order, but if you are a globetrotter, make sure to check these spots out!

Red Rocks - Denver, CO 
Capacity: 9,450

Experiencing Red Rocks is a pinnacle achievement for any artist or music fan for it’s breath taking natural beauty and supreme booking calendars. Forged from Denver red sandstone, the amphitheater is owned and maintained by the city as a state park. The venue flutters with activity throughout the day by hosting yoga and meditation sessions, while transforming into a bustling nightlife soiree once the sun goes down.

The Gorge - Seattle, Washington

Located roughly two hours from Seattle, The Gorge is a true American landmark. As Pollstar’s nine-time ‘Best Outdoor Music Venue’ winner, the amphitheater features spectacular views of the Columbia River and Columbia Gorge canyon. The Gorge is notorious for hosting many festivals throughout the year, as well as big-name headlining shows from across the genre spectrum.

Merriweather Post Pavilion - Baltimore, MD

Between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC lies Merriweather Post Pavilion, an iconic venue designed by Frank Gehry. The stage built a name for itself throughout the sixties and seventies while hosting events with Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and The Grateful Dead. Today, the venue caters to a variety of events and concerts that keep the pavilion packed throughout the year.

Parc Jean-Drapeau - Montreal, Canada

If you plan on attending Parc Jean-Drapeau, expect to make a day out of it. The island features an amusement park, operated by Six Flags; a casino; a Formula-1 racetrack; and a huge venue. Once immersed amongst the beautiful scenery, be prepared to transport yourself to another world that gives its visitors a true European experience right here in North America.

Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Club - Ibiza, Spain

The Spanish island of Ibiza ought to be a bucket list travel destination for any dance music fan. Located off the coast of Valencia, the party mecca is known for its magnificent beach resorts and all-night dance clubs.

Ushuaia is an awe-inspiring resort that is accentuated by its luxurious outdoor venue. Although the venue focuses on daytime parties, and closes at midnight, this is a see and be seen bacchanalia that you won’t want to miss. Take in the sights and sounds from their serene pool or directly up against the lit up stage. With so many attractions at Ushuaia, it’s not a matter of if you should go, but when.
