Find Out How Deadmau5 And Daft Punk Plan To Change The Music Industry

The music industry's biggest stars all just changed their profile photos to a plain teal image. Everyone from deadmau5, Madonna, Clavin Harris, Jack White, Daft Punk, Rihanna and many more. This is to promote a brand new high fidelity streaming service called TIDAL. Purchased by rapper Jay Z, TIDAL was acquired in a $56 million dollar deal, which you may have heard about. 

TIDAL is set up to be the first music streaming service that combines high fidelity sound quality, HD music videos and curated editorials. The idea is to have lossless quality songs available for stream (1411 kbps), where as most streams offer 320kbps. There will be over 25 million tracks available in lossless audio quality. TIDAL will also feature interviews, editorials and dedicated playlists. They will recommend songs and artists based off your preference and have a song ID feature much like Shazam. You can check out the video below for an overview.

The service will feature seamless listening across mobile, tablet, desktop and network players. The high fidelity streaming service subscription will cost $19.99 a month. They also offer standard streaming for $9.99 a month and a 30-day free trial. The TIDAL website currently features a countdown till the launch of the service.
