The Chainsmokers just released "Let You Go," a progressive house track featuring vocals by their fellow New Yorkers and electro pop up-and-comers Great Good Fine Ok. The track stands out as the former duo's newest single since August's "Kanye," and the former group came onto the scene only recently with last year's "You're the One for Me" and "#SELFIE."
Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman of Great Good Fine Ok departed somewhat from their usual, R&B-inspired sound for the hard kicks and hoover synths of "Let You Go" - as it was, in fact, The Chainsmokers who claimed responsibility for that portion of the mix. "To be honest, this was the first original song we ever intended to release, but then you know all that #selfie stuff happened and this got delayed... and delayed some more, and then delayed again," the song's info blurb on SoundCloud read. "We would have loved to release it sooner to let ppl know there was more to us, but whatever, things unfold the way they do and we are so happy to finally release this now."
