#ThanksZane Trends as Zane Lowe Leaves BBC Radio 1
Famous broadcaster Zane Lowe is hanging up his hat at BBC Radio 1 after a decade of service. Since 2002, Lowe has been credited for breaking in countless artists as he supported them in the earliest stages of their careers. Thanks to his uniquely in-depth interview style, Lowe has also developed personal relationships with some of the biggest names in music. These artists include but are not limited to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, The Foo Fighters, Skrillex, Jay Z and The Arctic Monkeys. Several of these interviews have become iconic as Lowe dared to go deep into conversation with these artists. Check out his famous interview with Kanye West below.
Lowe's last show was on March 5, 2015. He picked the final song himself: Queens of the Stone Age's "A Song for the Dead". Many people who have crossed paths with Zane have taken to twitter to thank him with the hashtag #ThanksZane. Lowe will be moving to the United Stated to work for Apple.
Taking Lowe's place at BBC Radio 1 is Annie Mac. To say that Zane Lowe's decade of radio service has supported and impacted the music industry is an understatement.
