Mau5trap Releases Acoustic Version of 'Seeya' Feat. Colleen D'Agostino

As the 2015 edition of the Canadian JUNO Awards approaches, deadmau5 has surprised fans with an acoustic version of his hit track "Seeya." The June 2014 release receives an acoustic rework with a piano- and guitar-dominated melody and complimentary vocals by Colleen D'AgostinoThe Seventh Sense's Christian Gonzalez directed the accompanying music video, which illustrates the beauty in the breakdown of electronic music.

The original mix was a focal point for Zimmerman's Grammy nominated album while(1<2). Now, the collaborating pair will be taking their breathtaking performance live to the 2015 Juno Awards. With two nominations in tow - one for Electronic Album of The Year and one for the preeminent Artist of The Year award - deadmau5 will be representing electronic music at the annual award ceremony on March 15th, 2015. 

Mau5trap Records also took advantage of the acoustic version as an opportunity to spotlight the vocal talents of D'Agostino. Under Mau5trap, D'Agostino's debut EP Collide is scheduled to release March 15th, 2015. The label addressed followers about the release, hinting at the involvement of deadmau5 and label friends: "dear horde. we wanted to tell you some more about our buddy Colleen. apart from being seriously dope, we’re super happy to announce she’ll be releasing her next EP on mau5trap. the 'Collide EP' comes in the form of six tracks that sway somewhere between 80’s disco-pop and electronica. the production teams on each track vary, but we know you’ll be happy to learn deadmau5 is involved. there’s also some loving, nurturing participation from label friends Eekkoo and Matt Lange, Ghostship, John Major and Blake Harnage."
