As the third edition of International Music Summit Engage approaches, former Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso and prime music industry legend Quincy Jones were announced as the final addition to the 2015 roster. The two industry wizards will partake in an unmoderated debate regarding electronic dance music’s role in modern day entertainment and art culture.

While Ingrosso is definitely more of a popular voice in today’s EDM scene, Jones' six decades in the music industry has defined him as one of the most prominent figures in the history of music production. Jones has won 27 Grammy awards and an Emmy and has also made his mark in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Most notably, Jones made history with his production work on Michael Jackson’s infamous songs “Bad,” “Off The Wall” and - of course - “Thriller.”

With alternative music production backgrounds, we can anticipate an in-depth conversation concerning the current state of EDM in the modern entertainment industry and art culture as a whole. Alongside the Ingrosso and Jones conversation, other panel pairings include Detroit DJ/producer Seth Troxler and rapper Chuck D, 300 Entertainment co-founder Lyon Cohen and major dance music acts Krewella and Zhu manager Jake Udell, as well as Strategic Marketing Group founder Jason Strauss and Miami Marketing Group founder David Grutman.

The Los Angeles-based event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at the W Hotel. You can purchase badges for IMS Engage here.
