Australia's Splendour In The Grass Drops A Stacked 2015 Lineup
One of the most anticipated Australian festival announcements has arrived as Splendour In The Grass releases an unbeatable lineup for the 2015 event.
Set to go down on July 24-26 in Australia's warm, sunny beach town of Byron Bay just south of Queensland's Gold Coast, the lineup for the festival's 15th year does not disappoint as it offers an array of talent from across the globe. From revered internationals to some of the freshest homegrown Australian acts of today, the festival is boasting three monumental days of music across four main stages.
The festival leaked the lineup last week by posting a playlist to Splendour's official Spotify account. True to the playlist, Uptown Funk hitmaker Mark Ronson and Florence and the Machine will be joined by the likes of Bon Iver, Death Cab For Cutie and Tame Impala. Britpop icons Blur will also be appearing for their first performance in Australia in 18 years, coming after the release of their long-awaited album The Magic Whip.
Dance music heavyweight Porter Robinson will be bringing his Worlds tour to Australia once again and will be accompanied by Urban Cone - best known for their collaborative hit "Lionhearted."
On the local front comes the dance scene's very own rockstars Peking Duk, Flight Facilities, Alison Wonderland, Seekae, George Maple, Carmada and UV Boi.
Also featured on this year’s lineup are SXSW highlights Best Coast, Gengahr and Elliphant with her good Danish singer mate MØ. We can't forget Earl Sweatshirt, Boy & Bear and Azealia Banks. Finally, playing exclusively at Splendour are The Dandy Warhols and Spiritualized.
