EDM Venue Of The Month: Q Nightclub, Seattle WA
Venue: Q Nightclub
Size: 12,500 square feet
Location: Seattle, Washington
Q Nightclub stands as one of the most unique nightlife experiences that the west coast has to offer. Located in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington, Q Nightclub is 12,500 square feet of pure insanity. With a 700-person capacity limit, this nightclub reels in approximately 3,700 attendees per week with multiple theatrical club nights that will have you dancing until dawn. Q Nightclub boasts an unparalleled nightlife experience as a multi-level lounge and nightclub designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, AIA award-winning architects responsible for Seattle City Hall, Pixar Studios Headquarters, and the Apple Cube on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
This nightclub pumps out the sounds of the electronic community through a top-tier Funktion One sound system, which complements their overall multi-sensory adventure with their state of the art lighting production crafted by Steve Lieberman. Q Nightclub is also aiming to upgrade the venue by installing additional projectors and renovating the upper level VIP area for a more lavish nightlife option.
The hospitality inside the doors of Q Nightclub is comparable to that of a high-end hotel, straying from the orthodox nightlife experience. Club-goers are treated as guests once they step inside the venue, as staff members are highly trained and passionate about both the local music scene as well as the city of Seattle as a whole. The venue’s head of security Angel Byrd also runs a series of seminars geared towards other security guards in the local community, ultimately spreading a well-bounded community vibe throughout the Capitol Hill region.
Club nights at this venue outdo the traditional nightclub experience by creating a high-energy atmosphere for club-goers to fly their "freak flags" strong. FWD Wednesdays serves as a tribute to forward-thinking music of the future, while Studio 4/4 Thursdays is one of the biggest house music celebrations on the west coast. Studio 4/4 has brought dance music acts such as Claude Von Stroke, Amine Edge & Dance, Dusky, Seth Troxler, and many more for long nights of vibey house music. Q Nightclub is also launching a new club night on Saturdays known as Madness where club goers will receive an all-inclusive theatrical clubbing experience with stilt walkers, aerialists, sword swallowers, and other next generation performers.
