In this era of dance music, artists are constantly evolving their sound in an attempt to stay ahead of the curve. While this isn’t an easy task to do, by any means, Canadian bass music duo, Zeds Dead, has been refining and reinventing their sound for a number of years, moving from a bass-centric style of music, like dubstep, to a groovier sound, like future house. A little less than a year after the release of their Somewhere Else EP, Zeds Dead has delivered the first single off of their highly-anticipated Somewhere Else remix EP, a 2.0 rendition of their track “Collapse” with Memorecks

While “Collapse 2.0” has all the typical bass stylings of the original, the track takes a turn at the drop, as Zeds Dead and Memorecks take it from melodic trap banger to a four-to-the-floor future house feel. The 2.0 version contains the same vocals and build, which is perfect for a VIP remix of the track, but the up-tempo vibe and heavy-hitting synth stab over the groovy bass line giving “Collapse 2.0” a completely different personality. Stream “Collapse 2.0” below and pre-order the Somewhere Else remix EP here.
