The history of EDM is hitting the big screen. French DJ Laurent Garnier took on the challenge of compiling 30 years of electronic dance music history into one fascinating book. A European bestseller, Electrochoc takes you back to the beginning, to the early days of dance music in the 1980s all the way to modern day rave culture. From Detroit to London to Paris and Berlin, Garnier takes you on "a worldwide journey through the legendary clubs, seminal festivals and key moments of dance music history." And now, by the end of 2015, his work will be made into a feature film.

Electrochoc received contributions from prominent Detroit techno DJs Jeff Mills and Mad Mike, in addition to David Guetta, James Murphy and François Kervorkian. With the help of these dance music pioneers, the book successfully shows you how DJ/producers go from spinning discs to putting out award-winning records.

A limited run of Electrochoc will be dropped May 5th, 2015, with the official English publication due July 2nd, 2015. You can pre-order the book here.
