Every artist portfolio must include press photos. Most are professional and position the artist in the best light possible. Some... not so much. We collected some of the goofiest, most awkward DJ press photos just for your viewing pleasure. For anyone thinking of getting some press shots in the near future, heed the advice of these EDM names and take note of what NOT to do.

This photo collage combines some of the most cringe-worthy shots of Armin Van Buuren in some of the most unnatural poses. Not your best work, Armin, but we'll blame this one on the publicist and photographer.

No matter how tasty your beats are, disco balls and frying pans simply don't belong together in a press photo. South London's DJ Chefal, also known as DJ Chef, may be one of U.K. pirate radio's best dubstep DJ but he is not taking home the award for best press photo.

Skrillex is one of the strongest forces in electronic dance music, but this press photo is not. This failed attempt at an artsy photo left Skrillex looking like a ghost/saint/mirage... we're not really quite sure.

Tiësto is usually on point, but this press photo caught the king of trance looking more like a creepy uncle than one of the world's most successful DJ/producers. We know this photo is from a while ago Tiësto, so we won't hold it against you.

There aren't many words for this press shot except maybe, "confused." London producer Damian Lazarus enlists a tropical bird puppet prop of some sorts amidst a jungle-like backdrop.
