Zedd Takes Fans To The Grand Canyon For A Huge Party
Since March, Zedd has been building hype for his upcoming album True Colors with an outrageous promotional campaign. The "Clarity" producer has set up 10 special events in 10 different cities across the country, one for each song on the album. Fans compete in a scavenger hunt, and the first 50 fans to finish are then taken to a special, undisclosed location inspired by a song on the album. For the 9th event in the campaign, the EDM superstar wanted to unveil his new song "Done With Love" in the biggest way possible...
50 lucky fans got to meet up with Zedd in Las Vegas before being whisked away via helicopter to Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona to hang with Zedd as he exclusively premieres a new song. Fortunately, MTV and EDM's favorite photographer Rukes were there to capture and document the incredible Zedd-venture.
“I wanted it to be the most epic event, and the Grand Canyon is the most epic event. It’s the most epic event we could think of,” Zedd told MTV.
Each track on the new album is associated with a color that matches the vibe of that song. "Down With Love," which is the fifth track off the album, is represented by the color teal. To celebrate this, the fans were each given a pair of custom teal Beats by Dre headphones. Preview "Down With Love" below...
Previous events in the promotional campaign included an underwater party in Chicago, hot air balloon rides above Phoenix and a trip to Alcatraz near San Francisco. With the ninth event completed, there is only one more chance for fans to participate in this truly unique experience.
