Watch Alesso Return Home To Play The Biggest Show Of His Career [VIDEO]

While superstar artists have the chance to play stages as big as EDC Las Vegas and Coachella, for many of them, the most honorable stage is often the the one in their hometown. Alesso has taken the stage at both of those festivals, in front of hundreds of thousands of screaming fans, but when he was given the opportunity to play for 10,000 fans in his hometown of Stockholm, Sweden, he considered it the biggest show of his entire career.

Raised in Stockholm, Alesso originally picked up tap-dancing as a teenager, with the hopes of becoming the next Michael Jackson, but when the Stockholm native was 16, he cast aside his dreams of dancing to become a producer. His very first opportunity came from Ingrosso, when Alesso’s girlfriend passed on a demo to Ingrosso’s father, a regular in her Stockholm coffee shop, and the rest was history.

Now, as Alesso ascends from emerging artist to dance music icon and is basking in the success of his debut artist album, Forever, he returned to Stockholm to show his hometown how far he has come. As Alesso prepped for the biggest show of his career, director Henrik Hanson captured some of the moments leading up to the show, and Alesso has unveiled a special short documentary about his homecoming.
