Henry Fong Gives a 90s Hip Hop Classic a Modern Day Electro Makeover
All aboard the Henry Fong train! The LA-based producer has been on an absolute tear lately, and the culmination of practice during his college years has truly given him an opportunity to make his passions a full career. Tracks like “Scream” with J. Trick and “Stand Up” garnered him the support of superstars like Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Calvin Harris, and Knife Party, and the start of 2015 already led to the launch his own record label, Banzai Recs. Fong’s latest release is a “bootyleg” of a 90s classic by Quad City DJ’s, “C’mon ‘n Ride It.”
On his “bootyleg,” Fong takes the hip-hop classic and injects his signature electro-heavy energy into the track, infusing it with hectic synth stabs and a rocking bass line that raises this track to the next level. You can be sure that Fong’s take on “C’mon ‘n Ride It” will dominate the festival circuit this year, as the electro house/breakbeat powerballad has main stage written all over it. Fong’s “bootyleg” is available as a free download, so there’s no reason not to have this one in your library.
