Preview A New What So Not Track From The Upcoming EP, The Last Featuring Flume
A new track by What So Not from the upcoming EP Gemini has surfaced on Souncloud. Titled "Oddity," the track is a low quality radio rip from a 2015 Coachella performance, and it gives us a taste of what's to come on the new EP. While Harley Streten, better known as Flume, has announced his departure from the What So Not project, the new EP is the last to feature the work of both Streten and producer Emoh Instead and will also feature collabs with Shrill and Toto.
The new track has a downtempo trap feel to it, with whining synths and a spacey atmosphere. We can hear bits of water splashing and a deep indiscernible vocal sample every so often, as well. The preview of the new material builds the excitement for Gemini. As Emoh of What So Not said when it premiered on the triple j radio program, Mix Up Exclusives, with Nina Las Vegas, “I know you've been waiting, hopefully [this] can tie you over.”
