Billboard just gave music fans a sneak peek of the June issue featuring their second annual list of the Top 30 EDM Power Players. Ranked among the top are EDM wunderkid Martin Garrix, former Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello and one of pop and EDM's most esteemed artist managers Scooter Braun.

Compiled by a panel of Billboard experts, the list ranks the artists, promoters and executives that are making the biggest waves in the EDM industry. The panel looks at chart performance, touring, revenue earned, and business and cultural impact, among other criteria, in the past year.

As one of pop and electronic music's most affluent managers and business sharks, Scooter Braun - known by most as Justin Bieber's manager - took on the EDM world when he acquired both Garrix and Angello as clients. What is Braun's key to success? Creating career-defining moments, like Justin Bieber's surprise Ultra Music Festival performance, even if it means ruffling some feathers.

As Braun told Billboard, “It’s like Bob Dylan: He pissed people off, but whenever he switched, he reinvented himself in a way that made him who he is today,”

Veteran EDM DJ/producer Angello approaches his own craft with a relatable ruthlessness as he pushes to create truly original and timeless songs that endure for generations to come.

"Nobody’s going to f—ing remember these same-sounding dance records, because they aren’t evergreen," he told Billboard.

The rest of the Top 30 EDM Power Players list will be revealed when the Billboard issue hits the stands on Friday June 12.
