In a recent interview with Spin, Steve Aoki revealed that he was already working on a follow-up to his recently released album Neon Future II.
“I already have enough songs to do another album,” he says, explaining that he’s been hard at work on new music on his bus during the Future tour that is already under way in support of the recent album.
Never one to sit still, Aoki mentions that he’s been collaborating with a wide array of musicians. After debuting his collab with Headhunterz, he's now working with Echosmith.
“We have a song together that’s almost done, I just have to re-record her singing it and I want them to replay some of the instruments,” he says of the future Echosmith song.
Neon Future II has barely been out a month, having released on May 12 of this year. Fans can look forward to no gap in new material, bu in the meantime, we can enjoy his most recent album...
