Borgore Doesn't Want To Write Bangers Anymore
In an interview with Miami New Times, Israeli producer Borgore revealed some of his plans for the future of his music. The Gorestep producer, real name Asaf Borger, talked candidly about his growing disinterest in writing club-ready bangers and shifting his focus towards more song-oriented material.
"I want to write songs rather than write bangers. I want to be true to myself as an artist and create the music I want to create, collaborate with the people I want to collaborate with,” says Borger, referencing the recent works of Skrillex and Diplo as a source of inspiration. “I'm moving away from 128 [bpm]. There are so many songs now, but they all sound the same…”
When it comes to the Big room sound of artists like Martin Garrix and DVBBS, he says, “There's nothing new or exciting.”
Borger says that he’s interesting in stepping away from Dubstep and Electro and diving more into hip hop, teasing his upcoming release.
“We've been working on an EP, me and some of my favorite rappers. I can't really say who, but I'm just so ridiculously excited about this record.”
