Diplo Branches Out With New, Unexpected Collaboration
Master of collaborations, Diplo has teamed up American emerging artist Ivy Levan to create something most unusual for the dance music producer - serving as a solid reminder that there's not much the Major Lazer front man can't do.
The new track “27 Club“, was produced by Diplo and comes as the follow-up to Levan's debut single “Biscuit“. Oozing old school classic, the track is best explained as a 'Stand By Me' spin off crossed with 'All About That Bass' fused with an Amy Winehouse-esque feel.
With recent collaborations with a huge selection of the world's biggest mega stars - Madonna and Justin Bieber to name a few, it's apparent that Diplo has no fear when it comes to dipping his toes in every element of the music industry. Diplo, while obviously at the forefront of his respective genre is fast becoming one of the best known 'Jack of all trades' within the music business.
“27 Club” is another taste of Levan’s upcoming debut album “No Good“, scheduled to be released on 7 August 2015 via Cherrytree and Interscope Records.
The track will be released along the pre-order of the album on iTunes on June 23rd.
