Deadmau5 Puts Mau5 Helmet Up For Auction To Benefit Charity

deadmau5 went all out for Gumball 3000. In addition to driving in the supercar rally (facing off with Diplo) and performing at the festival, the producer made a generous and rather creative donation to the Gumball 3000 Foundation. deadmau5 donated a signature Ace of Spades-themed mau5 helmet to be auctioned off at the high-profile charity event. The artistic and iconic helmet was one of multiple musician donations as Tommy Lee, founding member of Mötley Crüe, offered up an autographed drum.

To match the helmet, deadmau5 drove his appropriately-themed McLaren 650S and P1 wrapped in minimal Ace of Spades and Queen of Hearts prints to the Las Vegas event where an awards and auction ceremony was held.

The helmet raised a hefty $60,000 for the Gumball 3000 Foundation, which will go towards building and implementing educational and recreational projects to help underprivileged youth.
