Disastrous Fire Engulfs Crowd At Color Day Event, Over 200 People Injured [VIDEO]
Disaster struck at Formosa Water Park in Taiwan last weekend during a “Color Day Asia” event. Colored powder was dispersed onto the crowd which then ignited and engulfed hundreds of people in flames.
The crowd was set ablaze around 8:30pm. Upwards of 200 people were injured with more than 80 of those receiving serious injuries. Many of the victims caught within the inferno have suffered burns affecting more than 40% of their body. Victims were carried away from the event using rubber inflatable tubes as makeshift gurneys.
A witness recounts the disastrous accident, stating:
"It started on the left side of the stage. At the beginning I thought it was part of the special effects of the party but then I realized there was something wrong and people started screaming and running."
Extremely graphic video footage of the accident has surfaced on the internet, but viewers should be warned that the footage is highly disturbing.
