Since his collaboration with Ed Sheerhan on “Rewind Repeat It,” Garrix has apparently been dreaming of another massive collaboration. The Washington Post is reporting that Martin Garrix is interested in collaborating with another pop star, the “Summertime Sadness” crooner Lana Del Rey.

The young EDM producer is admittedly uncertain if such a collaboration will ever come to fruition:

“I hope so, but I'm not sure if she's down to do an electronic record. Her voice is amazing, and really one of the voices I would really like to work with."

Garrix says of the Sheerhan collaboration that what made it work so well was the dichotomy between their styles.

"It was super cool to work with him because he comes from such a different genre. It was cool to find, like, a point in the middle to combine both of our sounds, so people could still know that it's a collab.”

The high-energy style that has come to be something of a signature for Garrix would certainly offer lots of contrast to Del Rey’s more downtempo, moody work. We'll just have to wait and see if the "Animals" producer gets to see his dream collaboration come true.
