Tropical House Founder Thomas Jack Teams Up With Pete Tong To Debut First Original Song
Despite playing arguably the most important role in the mainstream acceptance of Tropical House, Thomas Jack had yet to release an original track... until now.
After discovering a wealth of acoustic edits on Soundcloud, Jack conceptualized the birth of a new sub-genre with a vibe unlike anything else out there. He put together mixes, jokingly dubbing the style Tropical House and branding his mixes as such. His tropical curation brought attention to both Kygo and Klingande.
Now, the Australian originator is teaming up with Pete Tong of Evolution Radio to produce a monthly Tropical House show for iHeartRadio and to release his first all-original track.
His original music debut comes in the form of a tropical track called "Rivers." Featuring acoustic guitar and soulful vocals against chilled out House beats and swells of oceanic white noise, the song further establishes the 21-year-old producer as a tropical force to be reckoned.
"Super excited that me and Pete Tong have teamed up to present everyone my new single Rivers. This is actually my first official release and can't believe this day has come. Pete and I have been spending last couple months trying to find the perfect song to release to my fans and its safe to say we have found it!"
