Diplo Confirms Major Lazer To Play Huge Festival Ahead Of Lineup Announcement
Major Lazer will be shipping out to Australia to headline this year's edition of Stereosonic, being the first act to announce their participation with the festival. Diplo reportedly revealed the news in an interview talking about the Australian dance music scene. The full lineup isn't scheduled to release until next week.
Major Lazer's touring outfit will of course include current members Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, but may branch out to include their collaborator, danish vocalist MØ, from the international hit "Lean On." Speaking of her possible involvement as part of their live act for the festival, Diplo divulged:
"MØ, we’ve done a lot of times [performing] Lean On live and she’s touring right now… she’s a partner with us and loves playing with us live."
Diplo also talked about the possibility of bringing "Blaze Up The Fire" collaborator Chronixx on stage.
“Chronixx, I think might be on some shows, we’ll just see what happens.”
Stereosonic will launch November 28, touching down in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney.
