"Logan will prep the sets on tour and I'll be in the studio grinding on music; we really like to divide and conquer." - Alex
Long distance relationships might be tough for some, but for Mako, it's just another unique perk of their quickly evolving story. Logan Light of New York and Alex Seaver of Los Angeles came together as Mako after being exposed to the other-worldly nature of EDM at Electric Daisy Carnival in 2011.
Since then, the duo has worked tirelessly at creating creatively-composed summer anthems and delivering euphoric experiences at their live performances. Their hit single "I Won't Let You Walk Away" featuring Madison Beer was an international hit in 2014, and their latest collaboration "Children of the Wild" with ex-Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello has ushered forth some incredible opportunities for the on-the-rise act.
"We got in the studio together, and [Steve Angello] was the greatest person to us. He was so genuine, he took us back to eat spaghetti with this family, introduced us to David Guetta and Above & Beyond. You try and act cool, but it was honestly a dream come true." - Alex
Currently in the midst of a rigorous touring schedule, knocking out festival performances such as Electric Forest and Global Dance Festival, the duo has still managed a way to keep their releases flowing. Their latest creative work, a redux of "I Won't Let You Walk Away," showcases a side to Mako that many might not be familiar with, yet still delivers their signature energetic sound. Take a listen to the premiere of their new hit below:
"We just wanted to repackage it in a way that could represent what it was like originally as an acoustic track, and wasn't a classic 128 bpm dance music track." - Logan
With performances ahead at Lollapalooza and Electric Zoo later this year, as well as a new album in the works, Mako will continue delivering and achieving success as 2015 moves forward. Keep an eye out for this talented act in a city near you, as they are preparing for a colossal year ahead.
