Festival App Solves 'No Service' Issues, Offers Live Chats With DJs

FireChat mobile app is changing the way fans use cell phones at festivals. This free, revolutionary app gives you the ability to use your phone without service or internet. And now, the app is getting in the festival game. FireChat is teaming up with one of Canada's biggest EDM music festivals, Chasing Summer, to give their 35,000 attendees the ability to communicate with one another without service. That's right, meeting up with your festie crew will be easier than ever, but that's not all. The app also allows fans to connect with their favorite artists in live chats!

The 2015 edition of the Chasing Summer will host Tiësto, Kaskade, Afrojack, Dash Berlin, Carnage, DVBBS and more, and will give fans the ability to have off the grid live chats with these EDM superstars.

Christophe Daligault, Chief Marketing Officer of FireChat's parent company Open Garden Inc., expressed the companies excitement over the collaboration.

We’re thrilled to partner with the Chasing Summer Festival. This is a first in Canada. We can't wait to see the fans and artists chatting together. Everyone loves it and it's fun to watch.

Dave Johnston, Creative Director for the festival's organizer UnionElectric, stated:

We love to play with new technology. This year, FireChat is bringing us the freedom of communicating without any infrastructure. This is great for the fans and also the artists."

Chasing Summer will take place in Calgary, Alberta on August 7 and 8, with live chats occurring on both days. You can head here to download FireChat.
