One of EDM's biggest brands UMF TV recently released an exclusive interview with A State Of Trance founder Armin van Buuren. The interview was recorded at this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where Armin broadcasted his radio show live as well as curated his own stage. During the interview, he shares how exactly he came to be a radio show DJ and tastemaker.

The Dutch producer recounts the early days of his now famous A State of Trance radio show, mentioning that he was heavily criticized for the idea.

"I remember when I started my own radio show, a lot of people told me "your'e crazy for doing a two hour radio show about trance every week." Those same people that criticized me back then have their own shows now."

He goes into detail about curating his trance stage at Ultra Miami and explains why the 2015 event was his biggest yet.

"This year i'm really proud of the lineup we have here, it's really crazy. We have Paul van Dyk, Andrew Bayer, Markus Sculz and none other than Eric Prydz on the lineup here. Every year especially in Miami is pretty crazy. But for me personally, this is the biggest."

The reporter asks van Buuren how he feels seeing the stacked crowd at Ultra Miami for his trance stage, and he responds "It's a dream coming true."
