World's First Blood Rave Will Spray Gallons Of Blood On Party-Goers
We did not believe this was real at first, but one Netherlands-based publication NL Times reportedly got a hold of the promoter to verify this historic event, which is either incredibly disturbing or fascinatingly thrilling, depending on the type of person you are. The promoter, however, did not disclose his or her identity due to the somewhat controversial concept. The party, which will reportedly take place at a "discrete location" in Amsterdam on October 31st is called a Blood Rave, meaning party-goers will literally be doused with buckets and buckets of blood on the dance floor.
Inspired by the memorable scene from the 1998 film "Blade," the rave has a Facebook event that describes it as "a night-life community for likeminded individuals."
So far, nearly a thousand people have rsvp'd. The anonymous organizer admitted in the interview with NL Times that because it's so extreme, they are preparing for attendees to be somewhat... well, "freaky."
The promoter went on to describe the sprinkler system that will be used to spray the blood.
“After a long search we have developed a special sprinkler system with pipes running across the ceiling and thus making us able to spray blood over the crowd. We’ve already tested it a number of times a substance resembling blood."
And finally, the organizer did express the intentions of hopefully being able to use real blood.
“It is pushing the borders, but we want to see how far we can go.”
