Miami-based electro and progressive house producer Borgeous sat down with Beatport at Electric Zoo: Transformed in New York before his scheduled performance to discuss the future of electronic music and what he's got up his sleeve in terms of new musical projects.

When asked about EDM's cross-over to mainstream appeal, Borgeous explains why he's not afraid of that.

"Electronic music and dance music evolves with the party scene, and partying is something that's never really gonna go anywhere. People willl always party. So I feel like it evolving into pop is actually a good thing. It's only gonna help make it bigger and help more people get paid to do something they love."

The interviewer asks the producer to talk about his upcoming musical projects. He talks about his upcoming track "Machi," a collaboration with Ryos, the winner of a remix contest for Borgeous, which will be released on Spinnin' Records later this month. Borgeous also talks about two upcoming collabs with some high profile artists.

"I'm working on a song with Akon and then this Pitbull thing that I'm working on."
