Martin Garrix Creates a Track Live, Talks New Album

During a special appearance on the Dutch radio show De Avondploeg that was captured on video, Martin Garrix showed listeners and viewers how he begins making a track before answering fan questions and discussing the dispute with Spinnin' Records. The young producer also disclosed, amidst describing the writing process, that he is in fact working on a new album. The below quote is a (loose) translation of the segment from the radio interview, which you can watch with captions in English below.

"I'm working on an album. I make drafts which are far more elaborate than what I've just done here. Then we have a sit down with my team and we discuss which tracks are good enough or not... which track would be dope with a particular singer. And then we send it to them and they start writing lyrics or I'll send it to them with me humming a melody... like this is the melody I have in my head. This way, I slowly see my album taking shape. I really like it. Some people enjoy gaming or drawing and for me this is... you start out with nothing and with different sounds you complete the puzzle."
