Listen to Nathaniel Knows x Dirt Monkey - "Front to Back"

Los Angeles-based producer and social media personality Nathaniel Knows teamed up with Boulder-based Dirt Monkey to unleash a bass banger for an awesome cause. Released through Dirt Monkey and Jantsen's label Kairos Audio, the proceeds from the track will be donated to Clinical Veteran Programs in Los Angeles.

"When I was first getting into electronic dance music, Breaks was my favorite element. I loved hearing all the drums, pads, vocals fade out and leaving with you just the percussions, it touched my soul, which is one reason I really stuck with dance music. Dirt Monkey is a fellow break lover, so when we came together to do the song, we both knew where our focus was. We wanted to create something that showed our fans and listeners what we loved. The song within itself means a lot to the both of us but adding on the charity aspect makes it more meaningful to me and my fans. As a Veteran myself, I want to give back to fellow soldiers who are in need."

RÜFÜS DU SOL Releases New Single "Say a Prayer for Me"

The Australian trio unleashed a new single from their upcoming album, expected to release on January 22 via Odesza's Foreign Family Collective. The band's sophomore album, entitled Bloom, will be the collective's first ever full-length album. RÜFÜS DU SOL will soon be revealing plans for a headlining tour, and in the meantime, they've announced performances at both Coachella and Firefly.

"When an opportunity arose to work with RÜFÜS DU SOL on releasing a track through our label Foreign Family Collective, we sprung at the idea. They sent us the album to check out and we were blown away. Up until this point, FFC had only released singles. After hearing Bloom in its entirety, we knew we had to break that mold and put out the complete album. It’s one of the best albums we’ve come across in the last decade and we couldn’t be prouder to give it a home at Foreign Family Collective."

Coachella Unveils Panorama Festival in New York City, Receives Push Back From Governors Ball

The organizers of Coachella are bringing a new event to the East Coast as they've officially announced that the inaugural Panorama festival take over Randalls Island on July 22-24, 2016. The promoters, Goldenvoice, is promising "three days of top-tier musical performances, dynamic art installations, innovative technology and some of N.Y.C.’s best local eats."

When news of the festival first broke, Governors Ball promoters circulated a petition hoping to impede what they deem as a corporate takeover, as they believed Coachella's endeavors to be an “'aggressive, greedy attempt' by a corporate power to compete with a local independent group." The online petition ended up receiving 8,000 signatures to block the festival from planting its seed in the new market, but A.E.G. has reportedly found a home for the event on Randall's Island anyways, which also hosts Governors Ball amongst other events.

“The city needs a long-term strategy for approving music festivals that ensures it is maximizing the economic and community impact of these events,” Mr. Russell, promoter for Founders Entertainment/Governors Ball said.
