Deadmau5 Previews Tunes Using New App From Glitch Mob's Boreta
Back in September, deadmau5 informed twitter followers that the name he was planning on calling his next big tour, "Entropy," was trademarked and he'd have to find a new name after having teased it for some time.
Yesterday, Joel uploaded two song clips - "Awaken" and "Hopes Theme" - under the name Project Entropy. The two audio clips were accompanied with visuals created with Hyperspektiv, a new real-time video and photo editing app from Justin Boreta of The Glitch Mob, Dean Grenier who works as the Art Director for The Glitch Mob, and Allan Lavell aka the Glitch Wizard.
Check out Joel's new sounds from the mysterious Project Entropy, and then read more about the Hyperspektiv app below...
The easy-to-use, touch-based app puts the power of high quality visuals in the hands of any smartphone user.
"The idea was to make an app that was incredibly simple to use, yet yielded deep, stunning results. There’s something magical about handing someone a device and letting them instantly create art, or see the world a little differently. We want everyone from children to professional artists to enjoy using the app." - Boreta
"One of the coolest things about Hyperspektiv is there are so many ways you can use it — make cool music videos, pimp out your Instagram feed, use for VJ visuals, or take next level selfies. Plus it’s immediate, you can see and record the effects in real-time like looking through some crazy kaleidoscope." - Grenier
Try it out by downloading it from the App Store; Hyperspektiv is compatible with iPhone 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus running iOS 9.1.
