Ladies... we need to talk. From the gender pay gap to abortion rights... don't we have enough to deal with already as women?! The last thing we need to do is make it harder for each other all because we feel a little threatened.

In this special episode of Zero to Sixty, Devin Culham asks a simple but poignant question... Why can't girls compliment each other more?!

What may seem like a small observation at the club relates to a bigger conversation about female competitiveness. There are several studies that have dug into this topic. While many point to self-promotion and degradation of rivals as part of a Darwinistic evolutionary psychology, a 2013 New York Times article by Emily V. Gordon, proposed a new theory.

"We aren’t competing with other women, ultimately, but with ourselves — with how we think of ourselves. For many of us, we look at other women and see, instead, a version of ourselves that is better, prettier, smarter, something more. We don’t see the other woman at all." (NY Times)

Can any ladies out there relate to this?! Is it time we talked about it?!
