Steve Aoki Invests in the Gaming Biz, Puts Money Into Team Rogue

Steve Aoki recently announced at TwitchCon in San Diego that he would be investing in Overwatch and Counter-Strike's Team Rogue.

Aside from his regular duties as DJ and label head of Dim Mak records, Steve Aoki will now have a role in managerial duties and branding development of the new organization which launched in May.

In a conversation with ESPN, Steve Aoki share his enthusiasm about the new project:

As many of my fans know, I've been a gamer all my life and have been getting more and more involved in esports. I can finally take my love for gaming to the next level as an owner of Rogue, the professional esports team. As an avid player of Overwatch, their dominance caught my eye and after getting to know them, I realized that we shared the same goals and interests in team building and competition,"

Although based in Las Vegas, Team Rogue launched this past May with its European Overwatch team. The Overwatch team recently placed third at ELeague and FACEIT's Overwatch Open in Atlanta, Georgia.
