Porter Robinson Takes Us Behind the Scenes of His Anime Film [WATCH]

On October 18, Porter Robinson unveiled his first-ever short anime film, which he wrote and executive produced. The project served as the music video for his collaboration "Shelter" with Madeon.

Porter created the original characters and wrote the story, and he worked with anime leaders A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll to turn his vision into reality.

"Porter had ideas that are different from the creators we usually make anime with, and the collaboration gave us a chance to make something new and fresh," President of A-1 Pictures Tomonori Ochikoshi said in the behind the scenes video.

The animation project was a dream come true for Porter, who's been an avid lover of Japanese culture and anime is entire life.

"I had no idea that it was going to be one of the most artistically fulfilling things I ever got to do in my life," Porter said. "To be able to write the story and to see it come to life in front of me, I cannot describe the feeling."
