Calvin Harris Unveils Trippy Music Video for New Single 'My Way' [WATCH]

Calvin Harris has released the official music video for his latest hit single "My Way," which was released September 19th via Sony. It's the first single since his 2014 "Summer" where Calvin Harris did all of the vocal work himself.

In an interview with Zane Lowe he mentioned what inspired him to sing on the track.

"Actually, Pharrell told me something about hitting the notes. Occasionally people try to persuade me to sing again, and he was one of those people. He said some of the most memorable and character voices, that we have, including himself, it’s not about hitting the notes, is it? It's about getting the emotion and the feeling and the character across.

In a separate interview with iHeart Radio, he explained the meaning behind the song's lyrics.

"[The] song's kind of about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, you're way more comfortable out of it. And it could be anything. It could be a job, or it could be a relationship. I had kind of the idea for the concept for a few years, but I didn't know how to work out how it sounded."

The video for the single is a virtual masterpiece and a timeless piece of art. The video begins in a futuristic universe on a mountainside, before we are zoomed into a gleaming red box, where inside stands the famed Scottish producer Calvin Harris hooked up to a machine.

From its fast motion graphics to its dysmorphic pixels, the video pulls you into a world of AI and barn raves. By the end of the video, it's as if the battery simply runs out.

The captivating Calvin Harris video released on VEVO today already has 700k views. Check out the video for "My Way" and share your thoughts in the comments below.
