Fan Support Drives London's fabric Nightclub to Appeal License Decision
You may remember that the famed London nightclub fabric battled with Islington City Council last month to stay open after two 18-year-old died of drug overdoses at the venue.
Although the council decided to refuse to reissue fabric's operating license, fans and artists alike have loudly criticized the decision.
The Islington Council has received a heavy wave of public pressure after speculation that the club's closure may have been influenced by real estate development. After raising over £250,000 from public donations, fabric has secured an opportunity to appeal the decision at the Highbury Magistrates Court on Monday, November 28th.
Artists have also chipped in to support the #saveourculture campaign, a series of music showcases featuring performances from beloved artists Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Nina Kravis, Rødhåd, Ben Klock and many more.
