Kygo Takes on The Weeknd & Daft Punk in New "Starboy" Remix

Kygo has been quiet for a short stint, and now we know why. The Norwegian EDM superstar was working on one of his biggest official remixes yet.

It's been a big year for Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll aka Kygo, and his list of accomplishments just got bigger.

After becoming the fastest artist to hit 1 billion streams, releasing his debut album Cloud Nine, launching a fashion line and performing at the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony, Kygo had to finish the year with a bang by becoming the only artist to officially remix what is already being considered one of the biggest songs of the year.

Kygo shocked everyone yesterday by suddenly dropping an official remix for The Weeknd and Daft Punk's "Starboy."

Out now via Republic Records, the chilled-out take on the huge collaborative tune marks the second time Kygo has been selected for an official remix for global sensation The Weeknd. Kygo was tapped to take on The Weeknd's "Often" back in 2014.

Kygo puts his signature spin on "Starboy" to deliver a spellbinding production featuring stunning piano layers and a soothing atmospheric soundscape.

"Very happy I got the chance to remix this great track. I wanted to add my touch to it without removing too much of the vibe from the original. Hope you guys like it, and enjoy your weekend :)"
