Listen to Giorgio Moroder's Groovy New Tune "Good For Me feat. Karen Harding"
The grandfather of disco and electronic dance music, Giorgio Moroder, has released his first single since his 2015 album Déjà Vu, which ended a 20-year retirement and featured Sia, Charli XCX and Britney Spears.
For his latest production, the Italian legend teamed up with English singer Karen Harding for an infectious number entitled "Good For Me."
"My goal is to make music that will make people want to dance, nothing else," Moroder told Entertainment Weekly over email. "When I first met Karen, I couldn’t believe how young and talented she is! … When I heard her voice, and met her in person I knew it would be perfect..."
Released via Casablanca Records, the pop house ballad simply couldn't be more danceable with its modern disco groove. At age 76, Giorgio has been making music since the 60s, but he told EW that it's his friends, family, and contemporary artists like Skrillex, marshmello, DNCE and Rihanna that inspire him to respond to his insatiable need to create.
"The people, the sounds, my family, my friends [inspire me]... I retired for a bit and it was so boring. If you are an artist, that part of your brain will never turn off.
