deadmau5 Shares Album Mini-Mix, Plus a New Hip Hop Collab [LISTEN]
After announcing pre-orders with the release of his single "Let Go" feat. Grabbitz, deadmau5 shared a new mini-mix for his upcoming eighth studio album W:/2016Album/, scheduled to arrive on December 2.
Amidst twitter comments expressing disappointment over his upcoming album, deadmau5 has shared details of a new hip hop collaboration.
The famed Canadian producer has teamed up with Manchester rapper and Grime MC Shotty Horroh, and - in an all too rare occasion - dipped into hip hop once again for a track called "Okay."
Seemingly eager to step away from dance music (at least temporarily) amidst apparent disdain for his latest LP effort, deadmau5 paired Shotty's smooth flow with a Pleasantville-esque sample juxtaposed against a hard, grimy bassline.
deadmau5 seems pretty pleased with the results. Fans ripped the collab from his studio livestream, and he decided to share the YouTube upload himself. deadmau5 even mentioned that he would consider producing the rapper's full album.
Check out the rip of deadmau5 and Shotty Horroh's "Okay" below and tell us what you think in the comments.
