One Deaf Musician is Creating an Algorithm to 'Hear' Music Visually
The term 'deaf musician' may sound like an oxymoron, but Myles de Bastion is anything but that.
Although he was born deaf, Myles has always appreciated music and seeks to make music more inclusive to the deaf community. With the ability to hear some frequencies with the aid of hearing aids, Myles was inspired to visually translate music with LED lights. Programming the lights to the frequency of the music, Myles is working to create an algorithm that can help to express music in a way that all fans can interpret.
